Delete WKB Teleprompter data or an account
Android app data
WKB Teleprompter is an Android teleprompter with local scripts and optional WKB cloud services. Free local playback does not require an account. Delete individual scripts from Scripts. To remove local scripts, downloaded language packs, settings, trusted-device records and playback state, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. This does not delete a cloud account or copies exported to other apps or devices.
Delete your WKB account
On Android v2, open Settings → WKB account & cloud, sign in and choose Delete account. From a browser, open Web Studio, sign in and open Account → Delete account. Confirm with your WKB password. If you signed in with Google, confirm by signing in again with the same Google account. No active Pro subscription is needed to delete your account.
What account deletion removes from the live service
- the account record and sign-in access
- active sessions
- cloud scripts and uploaded files belonging to the account
- saved playback/runtime state for that user
- account-linked support reports and support case state
- WKB Pro grants and the account's cloud subscription link, including its encrypted purchase credential
Local scripts and copies on other devices remain under your control. Deleting the WKB account does not delete your Google account.
Cancel a subscription separately
Deleting WKB data does not cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop renewal, open Google Play subscriptions, select WKB Teleprompter and cancel. Google manages its own purchase records. Accountless verification receipts, identified by a purchase-token hash, can remain after WKB account deletion; they support local Android Pro without a WKB account.
If you cannot access the app
If you cannot sign in, request manual deletion by emailing wkb@wkbcorp.com.
Identify the WKB account you want deleted. We may ask you to verify ownership; do not send your password or payment-card details. You can also request deletion of support data without deleting your account.
Backups and remaining records
We retain the seven most recent scheduled database backups for recovery. A failed backup can delay their rotation.
Scheduled cleanup removes extra deployment snapshots after 30 days and technical logs within the 30-day rotation policy. We preserve the most recent valid recovery copy and set aside incomplete or unrecognized backups for manual review. Accountless verification receipts are removed after more than 90 days without a new verification, only when Google last confirmed the subscription as expired. Active subscriptions and records with uncertain status are retained for verification; account-linked purchase credentials remain until account deletion. These exceptions are reviewed rather than deleted solely because a file is old.
Contact support to request review and removal of remaining records; we will explain any records that must be retained and why.
